Worksop 1’s began the second half of the season with a trip to Beeston. Back in September, the fixture had finished in a draw, so Worksop expected a tough game. Gameweek 12 – Worksop 1s vs Southwell Brincliffe United 2s

Worksop 1’s travelled to Southwell to play their last game before the Christmas break, and with eight wins already on the board, Worksop were hoping to finish the year strong. In what could only be described as awful condition, Worksop 1’s faced Newark 1’s in their last home game of the year. With Worksop second in the league and Newark third, there was never going to be much between the two teams, and so it proved. Worksop 1’s were back home this week looking to right a wrong. In the first game of the season, Worksop suffered their only defeat so far to Redhill. Worksop 1’s hit the road again this week with a lunchtime pushback against Newark 2’s . On paper, this appeared a straightforward fixture for Worksop, with Newark in the lower half of the table. Worksop 1’s faced West Bridgeford 3’s in a lunchtime pushback. With Worksop second in the league and their opponents in the bottom half of the league, it appeared a straightforward fixture for Worksop. An amazing defence effort from the entire 2’s today against Beeston. During the Match it was on and off rain and wind, which no doubt made the game harder for everyone involved. Worksop 1’s travelled to Boots in what could only be described as awful conditions, looking to continue their winning run. Both sides created chances, but just as it appeared the half would end goalless Worksop were awarded a penalty corner which Gemma Matthews struck into the corner.
