Worksop 1’s were back at home this week against local rivals North Notts 2’s, and looking to build on last week’s victory. Gameweek 3: WLHC 1’s vs West Bridgeford Ladies 2’s

Worksop 1’s travelled to West Bridgeford looking for their first win of the season, but it was to the home side that looked more likely in early exchanges, forcing several penalty corners. Gameweek 2: WLHC 2’s VS Boots 5’s

A tough game today for the Worksop 2’s against Boots 5’s. Boots came out strong scoring 1 in the first half, and a further 2 in the second, leaving the final score 3-0. Another excellent effort from our newer members Jen and Bex, who battled hard in the midfield, getting in some good tackles. Worksop 1’s faced Beeston 6 in their first home game of the season, looking to bounce back after last week’s frustrating result. Gameweek 1: Ashfield VS WLHC 2’s

A phenomenal defensive effort from the 2’s today against Ashfield. The opposition started off strong, putting Worksop on the defensive from the beginning. Worksop’s defence held strong throughout the first half, frustrating the opposition’s many goal opportunities. Worksop’s first team opened this season’s campaign away against Redhill 1’s. Worksop looking to make a winning start began putting pressure on Redhill from minute one, creating some decent chances, but a little early season rustiness saw Worksop squander them. Caroline’s Gift Foundation

Last year, at Worksop Ladies Hockey Club, they were devastated to receive the news that Caroline (Caz) Butcher nee Gray had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Caz has been with the club for almost three decades and at the age of just 37 she is one of the clubs longest serving players.
