An amazing defence effort from the entire 2’s today against Beeston. During the Match it was on and off rain and wind, which no doubt made the game harder for everyone involved. In the first half Beeston managed to score 5 goals due to their organisation and many goal opportunities. However, during half time the 2’s had a change around of positions which proved beneficial, as Beeston only managed to score 1 goal from a short corner in the second half.
The whole of the 2nd team’s defence and teamwork was incredible all throughout the game. Even so much that some of us (Neeve) ended up on the floor of the goal line to stop a ball going in.
Our goalie Alice had a fantastic game with many outstanding saves that she should be proud of.
Special mentions to our ‘Lass of the grass’ Mel, Who had an outstanding FULL game with lots of great defending, and to our captain Ginnie for getting our ducks in order before the game (quite literally),
also to our new development players Bex and Lois who managed perfectly in their first league match. Overall an amazing effort by the whole team, who should all be proud of themselves.
