In the last game before Christmas, Worksop 1’s were hoping for some seasonal cheer, but as they welcomed top of the league West Bridgeford, the odds were not in their favour. As both teams found themselves subjected to truly awful
weather conditions, the first half was surprisingly even, with Worksop playing some of their best hockey this season.

The second half began with both sides searching for the opening goal, but with both defences standing firm it looked like the game may end in a statement, until finally a shot from West Bridgeford manged to avade Worksop’s defence, it was cruel on brave Worksop who again was left with nothing despite all their hard work. The player of the match went to Sarah D.
