Gameweek 5 – Worksop 1s vs Ashbourne 1s

Worksop 1’s travelled to Ashbourne for chilly early morning pushback. From the beginning, Worksop were on the back foot, defending against attack after attack, and despite some brave and determined defending, Worksop did eventually concede , quickly followed by a second.
As the second half got underway, Worksop fought hard to gain a foot hold in the match, finally creating some chances of their own , but were thwarted by Ashbourne’s keeper. Ashbourne responded by forcing Worksop back, and despite Worksop defenders putting their bodies on the line, Ashbourne added a further two goals.Worksop didn’t let their heads drop, and they were finally rewarded with a goal from a well worked penalty corner, finished by Chloe G.
