Worksop 1’s began their season at home against Matlock. After last seasons promotion, Worksop were looking to get off to a good start, and it only took seven minutes for Gemma to fire one into the bottom corner. Shortly followed by Worksop’s second from last season top scorer Chloe. As the half wore on Matlock began to get a foot hold , and little against the run of play pulled one back, and just before halftime made the scores level.
The second half started with both sides trying to gain control, but again, it was Chloe’s finishing that proved the difference, with two quickfire goals securing the three points for Worksop. The player of the match went to sweeper Rebecca.
